Hi-5 ProTour - Val Del Este February 2008
Kevin Harper celebrated his maiden victory on the new Hi5 Pro Tour on Valentines Day in fine fashion. Harper started the day tied for the lead with Brian Akstrup from Denmark and saw his lead disappear after bogeying the par 3 second.
However Harper then made 5 straight pars and a birdie on the tricky 8th hole to finish the front 9 at level par with a -2 total. European Tour player Jeppe Huldahl from Denmark made his tour experience count shooting a fine 2 under par on the front 9 to press Harper.
However Huldahl made a double bogey on the 13th to see his chances of victory slip away from him. Harper stuck with his game plan and conquered the difficult weather conditions that all players were facing during the final round. He followed this up by making 8 pars on the back 9 and securing a 1 shot victory over Huldahl.

Finishing in 3rd place were Canadian tour player, Oliver Tubb, Irelands Mark O´Sullivan, and Englands Rob Harris. Harper collected the 3000 Euro first prize along with a special Valentines present for his loved one compliments of the famous jewellery designer Thomas Sabo. The tour moves onto the famous Dave Thomas design Alto real golf course next week where players will face another great challenge at another venue the Hi5 Pro Tour have selected for their inaugural winter series.
