“He was on fire“ was the quote heard from the fellow competitors of the quiet Norwegian Eirik Tage Johansen as he “Burnt up course “ with a record smashing round of 62. No rock concert either, but certainly another success story as I was visiting the premises of 1car1, a fast-rising star in the UK car-hire market.

Thursday, February 14th, 2008

Kevin Harper celebrated his maiden victory on the new Hi5 Pro Tour on Valentines Day in fine fashion. Harper started the day tied for the lead with Brian Akstrup from Denmark and saw his lead disappear after bogeying the par 3 second.

However Harper then made 5 straight pars and a birdie on the tricky 8th hole to finish the front 9 at level par with a -2 total. European Tour player Jeppe Huldahl from Denmark made his tour experience count shooting a fine 2 under par on the front 9 to press Harper.
